DCMA has only its sponsors to thank for most of the instruments that it possesses. Many thanks go out to our friends at the Musikschule Nordhorn and all those who contributed to what became a container (half) full of donated instruments. The collection started as far back as June / July 2001 and it took a lot of time to get everything together.

Many people have contributed and we want to thank all of them at this point. On August 30th 2002 the container left Hamburg and arrived via Mombasa in Zanzibar on Saturday, October 12th 2002. As our school balcony and office windows face the sea and the port, we actually saw the real container ship as it came in, which was a tremendously exciting moment after such a long time of preparation.

With the help of the First Lady of Zanzibar, Hon. Mama Shadya Karume, Hon Minister Othman Nyanga and the Ministry of Education we were able to clear all the goods without major problems and free of taxes. We now have a fully equipped school thanks to this generous contribution!
