Roskilde

 

The Roskilde award is given to DCMA for creating musical development in local based music genres to insure cultural stepping-stone for children and young people.

A resource for innovative people and institutions worldwide. Their goals are to strengthen democratic values, reduce poverty and injustice, promote international co-operation and advance human achievement.

 

The Royal Embassy of Norway - Tanzania

For their support of our 'Towards Sustainability' initiative for 2008-2011.

 

Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC)

Switzerland’s international cooperation agency within the Swiss Ministry of foreign affairs. Together with other federal offices, SDC is responsible for overall coordination of development activities and cooperation with Eastern Europe, as well as humanitarian aid.

 

The Embassy of Finland

Represents the Government of Finland in Tanzania, Burundi, Malawi and Rwanda. They sponsored the first phase of 'Music of Africa' Program for Schools in 2002.

NORAD's purpose is to assist developing countries in their efforts to achieve lasting improvements in political, economic and social conditions for the entire population within the limits imposed by the natural environment and the natural resource base.

Support for our Children and Village Outreach Programs in Stonetown, Mahonda and in Pemba.

 

Embassy of France - Tanzania

Sponsored the much needed DCMA Library equipment and material including Digital imaging devices, music storage facilities, music theory text books etc.

 

Africalia

Founded in 2001 by the Belgian Secretary of State for Development Corporation with the aim of contributing to well-balanced development coorporation, based on artistic and cultural production. Africalia is currently funding DCMA's teachers training program in Egypt and Zanzibar.

 

Royal Embassy of The Netherlands - Tanzania

Proceeds from performances in Tanzania by a Dutch Jazz Trio was donated to DCMA to fund the students scholarship scheme.

 

Gorbach Büro für Gestaltung und Realisierung

Mr. Rudolf Gorbach, head of the Society for Typography in Germany, designed the DCMA logo as a donation to the project.

 

The British Council, Tanzania

The British Council through its Dar es Salaam office has made possible the introduction of music technology to the Academy by donating a computer complete with a MIDI Suite.
